Racism and white supremacy are the foundation of the laws of the Dominion of Canada. To fail to recognize and acknowledge this fact is to be ignorant, to be a coward, to be complicit, or to be criminal. I see no other options.
State Violence
This invasion is evidence of the shallow commitment of colonial governments to Indigenous rights and reconciliation and the hollowness of PM Trudeau’s statement at the recent COP-26 in Glasgow that Canada will take a ‘leadership role in the fight against climate change.'

I was considering a solution to the polarization that is being amplified, accelerated, and intensified by our social, economic, and political technologies.

They had the feeling of being alone in the universe, searching for signs of extraterrestrial intelligence. What they could not see was that sentience was all around them.

The interregnum is fraught with challenges, uncertainty, ambiguity, confusion, and division. Yet there is hope. Not only that, if we are awake, we might notice a convergence. The mystery is found in the possibilities afforded by multiple systemic crises.

In the experience of this performance, I am moved by the way we can transform perception when we shift from the dominant frame of standards and norms to the wider sphere of reality and the wonder, beauty, complexity, and diversity of life.
Conflict
From the beginning of time, we are told in one tale of our origins, the world has been formed by the separation of reality into opposing elements and forces. Ever since, we have been involved in a constant cycle of one versus another.
Synchronicity
When I was watching the Foundation episode, “Mysteries and Martyrs,” I felt a profound sense of resonance with the character Gaal as she realizes that she is sensing the future before it actually happens.
Art
The art of noticing is in contrast to paying attention. It is an approach for a wholistic human experience—perception, cognition, emotion, and action—that reorients time, energy, and resources toward what really matters.
Design
What we learned about rapid prototyping from Tom Chi was the importance of working with actuals rather than conjectures. Guessing will not take us very far. We actually need to build something tangible to test whether something will work or not.
